STEAM
STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science,Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving.
In STEAM education, students apply knowledge and skills to solve problems in their lives through project-based learning (PBL).
In project-based learning, students are the main learners, trying to solve problems on their own, while the teacher is the guide, providing cross-disciplinary background knowledge to solve complex problems in the real world. The content of the topic is closely related to modern life, often a phenomenon observed in life or a solution to a problem in life, stimulating students' curiosity for inquiry.
During the learning process, students need to concentrate on learning with their five senses, observing with their eyes, listening and communicating with their ears and mouths, thinking with their hearts, and realizing with their hands in order to complete interdisciplinary works that combine technology and aesthetics.
